SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of preparing taxane of formula I: wherein R₁ is OR₆; R₃ is H, alkyl; R₅ is COR₁₀ or COOR₁₀; R₆ is H or hydroxy protecting group; R₁₀ is lower alkyl, or alkylene; R₁₅-R₁₇ are hydrogen, by reacting corresponding metal alkoxide with β--lactam. Compound of formula I has high effectiveness as antitumor agent. Method is simple and has high diasterio selectivity. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method.
