SHUT-OFF ADJUSTING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: gas and water supply systems in industries and public services; systems handling superclean or aggressive media in wide temperature range from cryogenic temperatures to 1000 C; vacuum plants of various purposes. SUBSTANCE: body of shut-off adjusting device is made in form of T-piece with threaded ends and two cylindrical branch pipes interconnected at angle of 90 deg; branch pipes are made integral with solid partition dividing interior of each branch pipe into two cavities. End face of branch pipe has at least two straightway holes; its sliding surface is polished; end face of central branch pipe performs function of fixed shut-off adjusting washer; movable shut-off adjusting washer is made integral with control handle and rod; this washer has at least one communicating slot whose shape of section corresponds to one straightway hole of fixed washers. Attachment and control of pressing of movable washer is effected by means of spring, union nuts and thread on lateral surface of central branch pipe or on pipe union of detachable casing consisting of two halves.
