FIELD: sorption materials. SUBSTANCE: material is designed for articles with requirements for high sorption capacity, capillary-transport, and filtration properties. Material contains cellulose; viscose fiber; carbon-modified alumina with specific surface 80-300 sq.m/g, specific volume of pores with radius 100-1000 - 0.008-0.250 cu.cm/g and volume of those with 1000-10000 - 0.005-0.100 cu.cm/g; cross-linked polyvinyl alcohol with water uptake 1500-2100%; and fibrous sodium-carboxymethylcellulose with degree of water retention 350-700%. Material is distinguished by selective sorption of pathogenic flora while preserving totality of sorption properties. EFFECT: improved sorption characteristics. 1 tbl
