FIELD: laser engineering; open-type optical resonators. SUBSTANCE: prism pair has two right-angle 360- deg. reflection prisms. Sectional areas of prisms have their planes perpendicular to right-angle edge of each prism in the form of triangles with angle in section of one prism being 20-45 deg and in other triangular prism section angle is 8-45 deg. Sectional areas may be faceted, formed by truncation of these triangles. Prisms are positioned relative to each other so that beam incident on any of prisms parallel to optical axis, upon its refraction and reflections in prism remains in same plane as incident beam. Refracted and reflected beams in each prism are in plane perpendicular to right- angle edge of respective prism. Intersection of these planes forms resonator optical axis. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 2 dwg
