FIELD: oxidation catalysts. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to removing harmful impurities from gases and can be, in particular, utilized when removing ozone from gas mixtures in water- treating systems, when treating waste waters, treating semiconductors in microelectronic engineering, for disinfection needs in medicine and agriculture, and also to remove carbon monoxide from gas mixtures in various areas, etc. Preparation of catalyst involves mixing manganese dioxide, copper oxide, and binding agent, which is a mixture of talume and alumina at ratio 1:(2-3) added in amount 30-50 wt %. Catalyst mixture is then granulated, subjected to hydrothermal treatment, dried, and calcined. EFFECT: essentially increased carbon monoxide oxidation activity. 1 tbl, 4 ex
