FIELD: medicine, virology. SUBSTANCE: invention is designated for development of agents used for treatment and prophylaxis of viral hepatitis C. Highly productive strain Virus hepatitis C exhibits adaptation to the broad spectrum of cell culture showing sensitivity to virus reproduction, high antigenic, virus-neutralizing and protective activity. Strain of hepatitis C virus, D-1, is isolated from primary cultures of newborn mice (age is 2-3 days) brain cells chronically infected with viral hepatitis C RNA taken from serum blood of patient with chronic hepatitis C. Strain is isolated on 220 day after cultures infection and the following 3-times passage in chicken fibroblast culture cells. Strain is deposited in the State Collection of viruses at virology NII and has registration number GKV-963. Strain exhibits stable biological traits, high productivity, antigenic, virus-neutralizing and protective activities. Invention ensures to obtain highly immunogenic immunoglobulins and vaccine raised to hepatitis C and sensitive diagnostic preparations and test-systems also.
