FIELD: recovery of liquid radioactive wastes of nuclear power plants and units including boron control. SUBSTANCE: prior to vitrification, liquid radioactive wastes are cleaned of radionuclides until total radioactivity in terms of dry residue becomes not higher than that specified by radiation safety standards; salts contained in decontaminated products are converted to solid phase, separated from liquid phase, and transported for vitrification to produce industrial glass, granulated glass, molded items of industrial glass from them at final stage of process meeting radiation safety standards. EFFECT: provision for reuse of radioactive wastes in national economy. 2 ex
