FIELD: environment control. SUBSTANCE: process includes mixing radioactive perlite with glass-modifying component and sorbent, proportion of components being as follows, mass percent: radioactive perlite - 40-50; glass-modifying component - 40-50; sorbent - 5-10; used as glass-modifying component is mixture of salt residue of condensed radioactive liquid wastes of nuclear power plants and borax in mass proportion not to exceed 1:2; sorbent is clay material; components are mixed up in swirling bed, charge is heated and exposed to 1100-1200 C followed by cooling down of end product. In the process, zero porosity of end product is attained and total rate of wash-out of radioactivity is reduced to 10-6-10-7 g/sq. cm a day. EFFECT: improved rate of yield of end product. 2 cl
