FIELD: shipbuilding; building of planing vessels equipped with fore and aft transversal planing steps which plug-type interceptors are mounted. SUBSTANCE: planing vessel has hull. Deadrise bottom of hull has fore and aft transversal planing steps after which plug type interceptors are mounted. Deadrise angle of bottom ranges from 1 to 2 deg at fore planing step and from 0 to 6 deg at aft planing step. Surface of ship's bottom before each planing step has symmetrical flat sections. These sections have triangular or trapezoidal form before planing step. Planing vessel may be provided with water-jet propellers. It is good practice to install propellers in aft portion of ship. Water scoops of propellers shall be made in ship's hull in front of aft interceptor. EFFECT: improved service properties. 2 cl, 3 dwg
