FIELD: sugar industry. SUBSTANCE: lime milk, prior to be used for refining sugar, is cooled to 8-10 C to form suspension and to enhance solubility of lime. Suspension id then settled to separate saturated lime solution to be used in all refining steps. Diffusion juice is treated with this solution until colloid particles are stabilized. To that end, juice is warmed and saturated lime solution is added to perform defecation. Defecated juice is then subjected to defecosaturation while simultaneously adding saturated lime solution and saturation gas at vigorous stirring of mixture in turbulent mode.
