RECONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR SPILL-AWAY OF HIGH CONCRETE ARCHED BARRAGE (VARIANTS) Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2233362 C1

FIELD: hydraulic engineering, particularly barrage spill-away reconstruction.

SUBSTANCE: method in accordance with the first embodiment includes making drainage in spill-away; smoothing out bottom surface of cushion pool; placing concrete on bottom surface with creation of slope in the form of springboard inclined towards water discharge place, where slope surface mates from one side thereof with water discharge part and from other side with upper surface of impact baffle and slope part converges towards impact baffle. In the second embodiment slope in the form of springboard is created instead of cushion pool and slope surface is covered with metal coating. In the third embodiment slope in the form of springboard is created instead of cushion pool and impact baffles are arranged on slope surface. In the forth embodiment slope in the form of springboard is created instead of cushion pool and slope surface has impact baffles covered with metal coating. In particular cases of above embodiments realization the following operations are carried out: drainage wells are drilled in bottom of cushion pool arranged accordingly to grid with step of 3 - 15 m for draining purposes; continuous drainage is layered on bottom of cushion pool which connects drainage well heads with draining gallery arranged in impact baffle. When slope is formed without metal covering organic concrete is used. Damper hole is formed in under pool at the distance of at least 10 m from apron plate. Hole depth is at least 5 m.

EFFECT: increased operational reliability due to water flow discharge and water flow energy dissipation at safe distance from hydraulic structure, reduced repair costs, decreased downtime of hydraulic structure.
