FIELD: optical information storage. SUBSTANCE: device has two photo diodes, which are mounted for reading P and S components of polarized light and output data to differential amplifier for generation of output signal, which represents stored MO data. Second amplifier is connected to at least one photo diode for generation of output signal which represents stored MO data and flaws in MO data stored on optical disk. EFFECT: simultaneous detection of MO and ROM signals which are reflected from optical disk, increased speed of switching between MO and ROM signals and decreased transient periods caused by switching. 5 cl, 6 dwg
