SUBSTANCE: method of preparing microcrystalline cellulose comprises successive treatment of sulfate or natron cellulose with 5% nitric acid solution, 2% alkali solution and 3% hydrochloric solution at 70-100 C for 30- 120 minutes. Microcrystalline cellulose is used as stabilizer of aqueous latex paints and emulsions and sorbent for chromatography and is physiologically active substance which improves metabolic processes in body.
