FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to field of hardening of articles and preparation of burden, specifically, to process of preparation of burden in scheme of reception of metallurgical starting material and its supply to melting shop in the form of granules, pellets or pelletized material. In accordance with first version burden pelletizing process is based on mixing of burden and binder with water treated electrochemically which is followed by heat treatment of pellets. Water is electrochemically treated in diaphragm electrolyzer to which electrodes voltage of asymmetric alternating current of commercial frequency is applied. Binder and activated water are used in proportion 1:1-3. In correspondence with second version water is electrochemically treated in diaphragm electrolyzer to which electrodes voltage of asymmetric alternating current with frequency of 720-780 Hz is applied. Activated water is used in the capacity of binder. It is advantageous to choose voltage of asymmetric alternating current with density parameters 1.0-1.3 A/sq.dm for both versions with relation 7-11 of values of direct and inverse half-cycles of current. EFFECT: reduced cost of burden pelletizing process due to diminished amount of used binder with maintenance of resistance of burden pellets to crushing. 4 cl, 5 dwg
