FIELD: earth-moving-transportation machines; applicable in automation of earth-moving operations. SUBSTANCE: method includes measurement in the course of earth-moving of working member pull and actual motion speed of machine by transducers to obtain current values of machine tractive power into the first multiplication unit; simultaneous measurement of engine shaft rotation angular velocity and its torque to obtain current values of power developed by engine in the second multiplication unit. Then current values of machine efficiency are obtained in division unit, and current values of machine efficient traction power, in the third multiplication unit. After this, signs of increments of efficient tractive power of machine and its pull in respective units are determined. Obtained data are compared in control unit, and control signal is formed for motion of working member. Output signal from control unit is sent to actuating device. EFFECT: reduced power consumption in earth-moving work due to increased efficiency of concurrent use of machine tractive and power potentialities. 2 dwg
