FIELD: metallurgy, technology of manufacture of component conduit plugs intended for blow- through of molten metal, predominantly, steel in steel casting and intermediate ladles with inert gases. SUBSTANCE: internal and external parts of plug are pressed in advance to density amounting to 10-95% of required value. Internal part is embraced with at least one layer of conduit-forming members made from fibers or strips of melted metal. Internal part is inserted into external one and they are pressed together. Assembled parts are subjected to caking at t > 1600 C till contacting surfaces of external and internal parts bake and conduit-forming members are run. Refractory material for manufacture of conduit plug has grain filling agent to 66-96% by mass, binder based on calcium aluminate in the amount of 2-28% by mass and temporary mineral-organic or inorganic binder in the amount of 2-6% by mass. Filling agent includes fractions from 0.1 to 4.0 mm. Conduit-forming members are manufactured by cutting of oblong sections oriented from one side of sheet to another side from sheet of organic material. With this strips joined on one side are formed. Sheet is connected along side to form truncated cone. EFFECT: improved manufacturability and decreased production cost. 15 cl, 8 dwg
