FIELD: space engineering; probes-penetrators for study of physico-chemical composition of soil of celestial bodies and delivery of this soil to Earth. SUBSTANCE: vehicle (penetrator) with soil intake is delivered to surface of planet without deceleration. In the course of penetration into planet, samples of soil are drawn into return part of penetrator. Kinetic energy of motion of vehicle is converted into potential energy through compression of working medium (gas or liquid) on board of penetrator. Accumulated potential energy is transferred to return part through launching device in direction opposite to that of penetration. As a result, return part gains escape velocity in Earth-return path. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of study of lunar surface; increased informative capacity at low financial expenses. 3 cl, 2 dwg
