WORT COOLING AND CLARIFYING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: brewing industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has vertical housing with cylindrical shell, bottom and closure, housing cooling system, sterile air supply device, wort distributor, hot wort supply branch pipe, steam, clarified wort and residue discharge branch pipes. Wort distributor is made in the form of disk provided with blades and is mounted on shaft axially aligned with housing. Wort distributor is connected to drive. Housing has residue collector axially connected to housing bottom. Residue discharge branch pipe is connected to residue collector. Such construction allows intensified cooling and clarification of wort flowing in thin film over cooled housing wall during filling of apparatus and rotating within it. Residue formed during process is settled in collector and is removed in concentrated state. EFFECT: increased cooling and clarifying efficiency and reduced consumption of water used for washing out of residue. 3 cl, 1 dwg
