METHOD FOR CREATION OF ICE-BOUND CROSSING Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: ice application technology. SUBSTANCE: this method can be used for building ice-bound crossing intended for movement of cargo transportation vehicles. Method can be realized at presence of intensive under-ice water stream. According to method, thickness of existing ice cover is increased. For this purpose, through-slot is cut in existing ice cover, and inserted though this slot is board which is oriented perpendicularly with respect to direction of intensive under-ice water stream. Board is installed at incline. Board is provided with flange on its upper edge which is fastened on ice surface by freezing it into existing ice cover. Application of aforesaid procedure increases load-bearing capacity of ice-bound crossing. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
