FIELD: thermal engines, thermal transformers and thermal pumps; drying and evaporating devices. SUBSTANCE: method consists in simultaneous compression and expansion of different portions of gaseous working medium at balanced heat exchange between them through contact of working medium of both processes with one and the same regenerative surfaces followed by restoration of pressure to initial level in adiabatic processes. Used as working medium in one of cycle is mixture of gases and steam which is transformed into liquid phase in the course of compression. Liquid phase is removed from cycle. Restoration of pressure of remaining mixture is effected at constant temperature. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of drying and evaporating. 4 cl, 6 dwg 2
