FIELD: radar detection of position of intruder over entire area of controlled territory, at approaches to it over land, sea or air space. SUBSTANCE: proposed method can be employed to safeguard important strategic facilities, water intakes, storages and other objects. In agreement with this method radar surveillance and automatic detection of moving objects within limits of controlled zone with the use of radar detectors having wide radiation pattern and installed in correspondence with configuration of controlled zone in points providing for overlapping of observation sectors. Moving objects are detected within resolution limits of one of range channels simultaneously by several radar detectors from different points. Position of object is found by coordinates of area of crossing of equidistant zones of range channels of radar detectors where signal from moving object is detected. Final decision on intrusion into controlled zone is made if coordinates of position of intruder are found to be in controlled zone. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of method. 4 dwg
