FIELD: mechanical engineering; pumps. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal pump stage has impeller, guide vane assembly, interstage disk and contact floating seal formed by surfaces of impeller and sealing ring. The latter is installed on interstage disk and is locked from rotation but can be axially displaced within preset limits. Conical slot space is formed by sealing ring and fixed surface of interstage disk. Flexible member is installed in this space for displacement in direction of conical slot narrowing under action of pressure differential appearing in operation of pump. Flexible member self-sealing is provided owing to its displacement in direction of conical slot narrowing and due account of deformation. EFFECT: reduced dependance of stage parameters from clearance in seal. 1 dwg
