METHOD OF INCINERATION OF TOWN REFUSE AND USE OF ASH FORMED AFTER INCINERATION Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: incineration of town refuse. SUBSTANCE: unsorted solid wastes are subjected to pyrolysis on grid; primary combustion air is fed from under grid; gas phase to which secondary combustion air is added is directed to combustion chamber for burning combustible components of gas. Combustion temperature in combustion chamber is maintained at level not below 850 C; as a result, ash formed from solid wastes burnt on grid is melted at least partially forming granulated purely inorganic particles in cooling; introduction of secondary air into zone of grid forms turbulent mixing of air with pyrolysis gases. At above-mentioned temperature, complete combustion of organic agents is secured; ash having form of pumice may be used as filler in construction earth-moving jobs.
