FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of o-aminophenylketones of the general formula (I) where R means C3-C6-cycloalkyl or C1-C6-halogenalkyl. Synthesis is carried our from aniline via intermediate formation of nitrile complex of the formula R-CN where R is indicated above with boron trihalide followed by an interaction of the complex with aniline in the presence of Lewis acid. Except for, the compound of the formula (I), more specifically o-aminophenylcyclopropyl-ketone can be synthesized by dehydrohalogenation of 1-(o-aminophenyl)-4-halogen-1-butanone in the presence of an aqueous base and an interphase transfer catalyst, for example, trialkylammonium halide or tetraalkylammonium halide and 1-(o-aminophenyl)-4-halogen-1-butanone can be synthesized from aniline and nitrile as indicated above. EFFECT: increased yield of the end compound, decreased amount of by-side compounds. 16 cl, 2 tbl
