CRUS OF ENDOPROSTHESIS OF HIP JOINT Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: traumatology and orthopedics, particularly, designs of isoelastic crus of endoprosthesis of hip joint; may be used in surgical treatment of degeneration diseases of joints. SUBSTANCE: crus of hip joint endoprosthesis has neck made integral with inclined seating cone for endoprosthesis head, inclined supporting platform conjugated with neck and narrowing down, and longitudinal rod whose distal end is conical and proximal end is wedge-shaped with flat front and rear walls, semiring ending on the side of straight lateral wall and rounded cut of wedge narrowing part on the side of shaped bent medial wall. Introduced between proximal and distal parts of rod are two flexible members made in the form of bow-shaped plates whose convexities are located at upper plate forward relative to plane of crus frontal section, and at the lower plate, opposite to convexity of upper plate or on the side of rod lateral wall with plate located across the plane of crus frontal section. Located between plates is intermediate part of rod whose side surface is formed by lengths of straight lines conjugating corresponding walls of proximal and distal parts of rod. Supporting platform has holes located mainly along line of its largest lateral size from two side of rod between its front and rear walls and respective edges of supporting platform. EFFECT: provision of functioning bone-endoprosthesis assembly under conditions of preservation of natural biophysical and biomechanical processes of bone vital activity. 3 cl, 8 dwg
