FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method can be used in mining flat-lying and sloping thick coal seams in layer-by-layer system in descending procedure. According to method, driven are development, ventilation and transportation entries, coal seam is worked in descending order layer-by-layer with formation on floor of interlayer mass from caved rock matter. Before beginning of stoping operations in upper layer workings carried out is stabilization of floor in line with interlayer workings through thickness of seam being mined. This creates interlayer coal thickness which at subsequent work is used as roof for workings of lower layer. Stabilization is effected by using wooden anchors with chemical fastening located according to scheme with mounting pitch L. Application of aforesaid method can improve efficiency of mining thick coal seams. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwg
