FIELD: heat-and-mass exchange. SUBSTANCE: unit may be used in evaporating cooling towers and in water cooling apparatuses. Water catcher unit has repelling members of wavy profile held together by rods, spacers inserted between them, and fasteners located at rod ends. Spacers are of variable form and section in height, and wavy members are provided with U-shaped grooves on their internal side. Grooves have through holes at lower point turning into inclined outlet grooves on external side which reach lower edges of wavy members. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 6 dwg
