FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: system includes case manufactured in the form of long bushing to accommodate lug of light guide which allows one or several various shells to ensure compatibility with connectors of types ST, FC and SC to be housed. Case has locator of lug, aid for displacement of locator of lug towards first end of connector case and aid for fixing of reinforcing members of fibre-optical cable on second end of connector case. Kit for manufacture of connectors includes set of shells, each corresponding to one type of connector and having internal surface intended for installation on case. Pair of case and shell is selected for manufacture of connector and assembly unit is prepared. EFFECT: system provides for easy compatibility with various types of connectors, structure and assembly of it are simplified, manufacturing cost is decreased and resistance to longitudinal and lateral tension of cable is enhanced. 19 cl, 9 dwg
