FIELD: checking coins, counters, and other flat items for genuineness. SUBSTANCE: device has coin channel incorporating coin inlet slit, first and second collision surfaces, energy absorber, and sensors. Coin channel walls are inclined through certain angle relative to vertical plane. First collision surface is inclined through certain angle to walls so as to make coin coming in contact with them move at rear wall. Energy absorber is loosely mounted in coin channel base slot. Collision surfaces function to brake coins dropped in inlet slit to such extent that upon collision with energy absorber they slide to sensor region on rear wall contacting this wall. Coin channel should be better made in the form of cavity in case built up of two plastic parts. EFFECT: reduced size of coin channel easily passing coins to region of identifying sensors. 8 cl, 2 dwg
