FIELD: chemical technology, petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a method of isolation of ethylene oxide from a gaseous mixture formed in oxidation of ethylene with oxygen in the presence of silver-containing catalyst. Method involves absorption with an aqueous solution of ethylene glycols and desorption of obtained saturated sorbent at increased temperature. After desorption stage sorbent is treated with froth breaker and alkaline reagent followed by recycle of sorbent to the absorption stage, feeding sorbent part from desorption stage after treatment with alkali to mixing with the saturated an aqueous-glycol solution of ethylene oxide. EFFECT: decreased loss of ethylene oxide in the isolation unit. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 3 tbl, 8 ex
