FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: composition comprises, wt %: sodium chloride, 5-17; and sodium carboxylates, 83-95 (the latter include sodium formate, 83-87 and sodium glycolate, 4-13). The mixture of sodium salts results from evaporation of solution of salts which is chloroform production waste by chloral alkaline decomposition method. The mixture is used both in dry form and in solution form. Freezing temperature of 40% aqueous solution varies from -24 C to -18 C.
