FIELD: electroplating; applicable in instrumentation engineering for deposition of coatings with high corrosion resistance. SUBSTANCE: electrolyte has sulfates of copper and chromium and trilon B in the following ratio of components, g/l: copper sulfate, 20-40; chromium sulfate, 60-40; trilon B, 29-31. Corrosion rate of coatings produced from the electrolyte is lesser than that of known ones by 30-80%. Chromium content in deposited coatings amounts to 12.6 wt. % is presented in the form of oxides CrxOy. EFFECT: improved structure and quality of coatings due to reduced size of crystalline structure. 1 tbl
