SEPARATE GRADE CROSSING OF MOSCOW RING HIGHWAY AND MOLDAGULOVA ULITSA Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: road-building industry. SUBSTANCE: arrangement of separate grade crossing can be used in building new and reconstruction of existing crossing units of motor roads in different levels primarily in urban conditions. Separate grade crossing includes crossing of motor roads located in different levels, overpass on above-lying motor road, two left-turn loop-like departure ramps located at one side of lower-lying motor road and at different sides of above-lying motor road, four right-turn departure ramps located at different sides of crossing motor roads. Separate grade crossing is provided with two additional loop-like left-turn departure ramps located between branch lines of above-lying motor road and in combination with their sections they create distributing ring road for circular movement of vehicles. Also provided are two additional secondary motor roads which adjoin distributing ring road, and two additional auxiliary motor roads which singly adjoins each of right-turn departure ramps located at other side of lower-lying motor road with respect to distributing ring road. Application of aforesaid arrangement of separate grade crossing allows for improving redistribution of traffic flows, elimination of traffic jams in motor roads, increasing traffic capacity together with upgrading safety travel conditions.
