FIELD: mechanical and transport engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention provides interrelated synthesis of actions onto-fuel-air mixture for intensifying operation of internal combustion engine. Method of internal cleaning of exhaust gases on internal combustion engine by increasing power and duration of fuel mixture igniting pulses in combustion chambers comes to the following: fuel mixture is made leaner by introduction of regulated additional air stream into intake duct at angle to fuel mixture flow until minimum toxicity of exhaust gases is provided at preservation of stable operation of engine at all duties. In carburetor internal combustion engines additional air stream from atmosphere is fed under carburetor throttle valve square to fuel-air mixture flow. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, reduced toxicity of exhaust gases. 7 cl, 2 dwg
