FIELD: search for placer titanium-zirconium deposits in terrigenic rocks and for uranium deposits of hydrogenous and sedimentary origin spatially coupled to them. SUBSTANCE: holes are drilled, gamma logging, electric logging by method of potential of natural electric field are conducted as well as isolation of lithologically homogeneous horizons at search site in terrigenic rocks. Background and anomalous values of radioactivity and potential of natural electric field are determined in lithologically homogeneous horizons, intervals of positive and negative anomalies of potential of natural electric field are marked out, intervals of anomalous radioactivity with intensity of gamma radiation corresponding to content of equilibrium uranium from 0.01% and more are exposed. Availability and genetic type of ore deposits are evaluated by combination of intervals of anomalies of potential of natural electric field of different sign and of anomalies of radioactivity with different intensity of gamma radiation. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity and efficiency of search thanks to division of range of informative values of anomalies of gamma logging and thanks to reduced extent of testing. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
