FIELD: storage of hydrogen isotopes at high pressure of gas mixture and high temperature. SUBSTANCE: tank has two coaxial cylindrical shells whose mating surfaces are covered with hydrogen-tight coatings. Cavity formed between mating shells is ventilated by pumping inert gas through it and is divided by means of projections into open-circuit channels. Tops of projections of inner shell are tightly joined with outer shell; side surfaces of projections are covered with hydrogen- tight coating. Channel surface area bounded by outer mating shell is larger than its surface area bounded by inner cylindrical shell. Channels may be made in the form of single- or multiple-entry helical passage; as an alternative, projection may be made in the form of single- or multiple-layer helical wire-wound coil.
