FIELD: Fischer-Tropsch catalysts. SUBSTANCE: method in which salt precursor solution is applied on one side of tube and, on calcination, form reducible and non-reducible in hydrogen oxides is distinguished by using, as salt precursors, powdered substances consisting of nonvolatile, insoluble, or low-soluble compounds of transition metals or their mixtures, and/or zirconium, and/or alkali-earth metal or their mixtures and aluminum, or different combinations of all individual and mixed compounds of above-indicated metals and aluminum, whereas catalytic layer is prepared by mixing powders, placing them in gas-permeable molding device together with metal tube, and treating them in oxidative or wet atmosphere to form product in the form of tube with catalytic layer. Tube is then dried and calcined. Catalytic layer represents thick (0.6-10.0 mm) high-porous self-attaching coating on outside surface of tube. EFFECT: facilitated catalyst preparation procedure. 8 cl, 2 tbl, 12 ex
