SUBSTANCE: after spring stretching, elastic members contacting the adjacent turns of spring and shaped as cube with through hole and size of edge equal to turn spacing are staggered uniformly along length and with tension over wire diameter. In this case, elastic members are arranged with clearance in guide recesses of auxiliary crown thin-walled bush embracing the spring over external diameter with wall thickness S satisfying inequality t-d/2 ≤ S ≤ i,, where t is spring turn spacing, mm; d is spring wire diameter, mm; i is radial clearance between spring and internal surface of base member locating hole, mm. Number of guide recesses is determined from expression n = πD/2t,, where D is average diameter of spring, mm. The method ensures nonlinear rise of spring elastic properties when spring is compressed and promotes improvement of elasticity recovery quality due to elimination of bending of turns and avoidance of contact between spring turns and internal surface of base member.
