FIELD: optic production. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when manufacturing impact- resistant plastic lenses providing economical sight correction. Lens blank is placed in mold such that optically pure resin with refraction coefficient 0.05 that of blank can be disposed between blank and molding surface. Resin is then hardened to form scratch-resistant layer on outside surface of blank, convex or concave. Hardened resin layer may contain nonspecified or specified bearing layer and specified segment corresponding to bifocal, multifocal, or noninterlaced region. Lens blank contains aromatic carbonate polymer, for example, polycarbonate of bis- phenol A, o-methoxy-bis-phenol A, or O,O'-dichloro-bis-phenol A with refraction coefficient 1.5-1.6. Resin contains 0.5-8% of photoinitiator and 25-85% of bis-allyl carbonate, the rest consisting of at least one methacrylate, multifunctional acrylates, or their mixtures. EFFECT: increased impact resistance and reduced chromatic aberration. 46 cl, 2 dwg, 2 ex
