Abstract RU 2136522 C1

FIELD: transport engineering; air cushion vehicles for carrying passengers and loads in tunnels at high speed. SUBSTANCE: proposed vehicle has housing, passenger or cargo compartment, drive installed on frame and mechanically coupled with propeller, wheels installed at both sides of housing and engaging with rails of tunnel (tube) and longitudinal through channel with first chamber at inlet and second chamber at outlet. Cross sections of chambers increase in directions of inlet and outlet, respectively, forming a curve. Middle part has constant cross-section. Holes made in lower wall of middle part of through channel designed for building air cushion are furnished with shutters to changes size of holes. Propellers is placed inside first chamber. Wheels serve as support at standstill and are not used at normal movement but serve as brakes at braking as they are coupled with system. During nonstandard situations wheels serve to eliminate lateral wobbling of vehicle. EFFECT: increased vehicle speed and efficiency owing to use of more efficient profile of tunnel (tube) and vehicle proper which uses the advantages of movement in tunnels (tubes), decreasing friction in all units as vehicle hovers in air when moves along tunnel without touching tunnel walls. 2 dwg
