FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method can also be used for transporting rock mass from deep levels of quarries opened by underground mine workings. According to method, rock mass is loaded into removable containers installed on platforms of self-propelled transportation vehicles and is carried to receiving station of load shaft. Then, removable container is introduced into load shaft and connected to sail-parachute which is fixed on stoppers. After lifting, loaded container is detached from sail-parachute, brought out of load shaft to upper container unloading site. According to another version, at certain ratio of parameters of inclined load shaft, air blower, and self-propelled transportation vehicle, loaded vehicle which arrived by its own power through underground transportation working to inclined load shaft is connected to sail-parachute and is lifted through shaft with increased angle of incline to ground surface due to action of air stream or due combined action of air stream and vehicle power. After that, sail-parachute returns back for taking other vehicle. Application of aforesaid method cuts expenses, improves quality of transported minerals, makes mining process more ecologically safe, widens technological potentialities of mining activities.
