FIELD: mining industry and environment control. SUBSTANCE: method is used in underground mining of coal. According to method, undertaken are operations for separating coal in longwall, partial filling of worked-out space, and drilling of bore-holes in rock matter for injection of stabilizing solutions. By means of advanced bore-holes, solutions are injected from space which is located behind longwall into roof of drifts beginning behind longwall. Drilled in worked-out space for delivery of stabilizing solutions into sides of drifts and strips are rings of bore-holes in perpendicular to surface of drifts. Length of bore-holes is 3-5 m. Distance between rings of bore-holes is equal to half-pitch of settling or caving of immediate roof of seam. Application of aforesaid method prevents large settling of ground surface.
