FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: device has measuring pipeline segment having streamlined body which longitudinal axis is set in perpendicular to pipeline axis. Magnetic system creating magnetic field, having magnetic induction vector component set in parallel to longitudinal axis of the streamlined body is placed outside of the measuring segment. The sensitive element having electrodes is connected to unit for processing target signal. At least one of the electrodes is designed as electrically insulated indicator introduced into in-tube space, where, arranged in magnetic field action field, and current-discharge rod usable for making output signal output is available. Rod surface is electrically insulated. Flattened body-shaped tip (like disk) available on the current-discharge rod serves as the electric contact region. Each point of the electric contact region belongs to an ellipse which greater axis is parallel to the streamlined body axis, and the lesser axis is in perpendicular relation to the pipeline axis. Tip body plane is set in perpendicular to longitudinal streamlined body axis. In streams with ferromagnetic inclusions Electric contact tip center coincides with the pipeline axis or is set some distance apart from wall adjacent to unilateral magnetic system magnet pole. The distance is greater than D/2, where D is the internal diameter of the pipeline.
EFFECT: wide range of functional applications in streams polluted with ferromagnetic particles; excluded short circuit accidents between electrode and pipe wall.
