FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: flow converter comprises a pipe section with a non-magnet electroconductive wall, a shedding bar in the form of a rod producing Karman vortices, the longitudinal axis of which is perpendicular to the pipe axis. The magnetic system installed outside the pipe creates magnetic field behind the shedding bar, and this field has a component of the magnetic induction vector directed in parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shedding bar. Electrodes are welded on the pipe surface, at least one of them is an indicating one and is installed on the generatrix of the pipe that crosses with the longitudinal axis of the shedding bar. The place of welding of the indicating electrode in the converter is at the outlet of the flow from the magnetic system near the pole adjacent to the pipe surface.
EFFECT: simplified design of a vortex electromagnet flow converter, namely, simplified placement of an indicating electrode, and also simplified signal output, while preserving quite high sensitivity of a converter.
