FIELD: technologies enhancing noise immunity of information transmission lines. SUBSTANCE: method consists in detection of radar signal reflected from location objects. Signals from output of detector are divided between two channels and are simultaneously sent to inputs of two channels processing values of amplitudes of videopulses. In one channel values of amplitudes of videopulses are squared, summed up, threshold value is found and sum of values of amplitudes is compared with threshold value. In the other channel values of amplitudes of videopulses are raised to power much higher than second one, converted values of amplitudes are summed up, threshold value is found, sum of values of amplitudes is compared with threshold value of second channel. Decision is made on which of two signals has greater average power if sum of converted values of amplitudes in one channel exceeds level of threshold of own channel. EFFECT: increased probability of discrimination of two random pulse signals having different average powers. 8 dwg, 7 tbl
