FIELD: seismic exploration.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of seismic exploration. To implement the expected result, the claimed solution provides for the possibility of classifying mobile objects of ground equipment by a seismic signal excited by a mobile object of ground equipment in the surface layer of the soil, while the amplified and filtered electrical signals are converted into a pair of sequences of unipolar pulses of constant amplitude and sampled; at a given averaging interval, the number of boundaries of the leading edges of pulses in the corresponding sequences is determined, the values of the current pulse repetition periods are estimated, the average values of the pulse repetition periods in the sequences are determined, the duration of the sliding time window is determined, the number of counts that fit into the duration of the time window is found, using the results obtained, the current average values of the mutual correlation coefficient of pulse sequences are calculated up to the moment of time corresponding to the traverse point inclusive; the samples of the current average values of the cross-correlation coefficient that have exceeded the standard threshold are selected.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of object recognition by a seismic signal.
