FIELD: road traffic control equipment. SUBSTANCE: system has mobile checkpoint, set of stationary checkpoint regions each of which is designed as stipulated rectangle which embraces specific region of road, communication devices which are located about road at given distance from said rectangle. Each checkpoint region is equipped with video cameras, illumination units and splitter of lanes and traffic directions. In addition device has firmware equipment which is mounted on mobile checkpoint and comprises vehicle identification computers which are connected to video cameras using commutation devices, as well as server, which functions are control and search of cars in database, local-area network, video monitoring system, which is connected to camera through commutation equipment, telephone communication system, telecommunication equipment. EFFECT: decreased cost and simplified continuous monitoring of road traffic in city, region or state in conditions of legal restrictions on admissible reasons for stopping cars by police squads. 4 cl, 3 dwg
