FIELD: organoelemental synthesis. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organoelemental compounds that can be used as lubricating oil additives. Method of their preparation may be simplified when reagents interact at heating in solvent in presence of catalyst and when said reagents are phosphorus, elementary sulfur, aliphatic alcohol, or mixture of aliphatic alcohols, or mixture of substituted phenol and aliphatic alcohol and metal hydroxide at molar ratio 1:(2-2.5):(2-3):(0.5- 0.75), respectively. Interaction is conducted until complete conversion of phosphorus and reaction mixture pH 5.5-7.0 are attained. As catalyst, suitable are aliphatic, aromatic, or alicyclic primary, secondary, or tertiary amines, carbonic or carboxylic acid amides or thioamides, thiuram-disulfides, xantogenates, dithiocarbamates, or metal salts of dithiophosphoric acid diesters.
