METHOD OF REGENERATION OF EXHAUSTED WATER- EMULSION LUBRICATING FLUID Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2137818 C1

FIELD: metalworking. SUBSTANCE: invention, more particularly, relates to regeneration of lubricating fluid of water phase looking like clarified emulsion remaining after separating oil from preliminarily settled exhausted lubricating fluid. pH value of clarified emulsion is adjusted to 5.6-8.0 and emulsion is treated with aqueous solution of product of polymerization of dimethyldiallylammonium chloride monomer with molecular weight 536000-600000 and aqueous solution of aluminum chloride. In the first treatment step, polymerization product is added at stirring in amount constituting 50-60 vol % its required amount mixed with stoichiometric amount of aluminum chloride. In the second step, remaining 20-50% of polymerization product is added. In the first step, as polymerization product is added, stirring is intensified to achieve turbulence by the end of procedure. Heating of clarified emulsion and its chemical treatment is preferably carried out at 90-95 C. EFFECT: enabled reuse of significant amounts of lubricating fluid with no environmental harm. 7 cl, 2 tbl
