FIELD: environment control technology. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for removing petroleum products penetrated into earth mass at ports due to leakage from pipelines or local spilling at loading of vessels. Removing of petroleum products from areas adjacent to hydraulic engineering structures at ports having sheet-piling wall is effected by collecting them and branching away by means of vertical bore-holes which are provided with pumps. Vertical bore-holes are arranged in zone close to port structures. Pitch of bore-holes in row is equal to 17-26 diameters of vertical bore-holes. Delivered into this zone is live steam through horizontal or inclined drain-steam needles which are installed below level of water-bearing layer and they are inserted into openings in sheet-piling wall of hydraulic engineering structure with application of chamber hermetically connected with sheet-piling wall. Utilization of aforesaid method and arrangement improves efficiency of cleaning earth at port hydraulic engineering structures from petroleum products and prevents fouling of port water area with petroleum products. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 9 cl, 2 dwg
